In 1965, the Rev. Ted Nelson, a newly ordained deacon, along with 13 families started the Church of the Resurrection. The congregation of believers at the Church of the Resurrection had its beginning in 1965 with just thirteen families as a mission meeting in a YMCA. Three years later, a congregation of 150 dedicated the first building which contained a parish hall, a worship space, and small office.

Our call is still to center our life in the worship of our Lord Jesus Christ, Resurrected.

We expect the Spirit of God to work among us in different ways: salvation, sanctification, healings, prophecy, and for those who are meeting Christ for the first time, rebirth. We provide funds, prayers, and encouragement as support for missionaries serving on three continents. We are a community of three languages, English, Spanish and Swahili, but one allegiance to Jesus Christ, our Lord.
